True Buddha Diamond Temple of New York is an important Vajrayana practice center of the True Buddha School, dedicated to propagating the True Buddha Tantric Dharma and guiding sentient beings on the path of spiritual cultivation. Under the compassionate guidance and blessings of Living Buddha Lian Sheng, the Root Lineage Guru of the True Buddha School, the temple property was acquired in 1996. After more than a year of careful planning and preparation, the temple was officially consecrated and inaugurated on June 19, 1997.
On the day of the consecration, Living Buddha Lian Sheng personally presided over the solemn ceremony, performing the consecration of the sacred altar, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Vajra Dharma Protectors, and Dakas and Dakinis. Amid the resonant sounds of Buddhist chanting and Dharma instruments, the temple was formally established as an authentic Vajrayana practice center. During his Dharma discourse, the Root Lineage Guru explained that the consecration marked the beginning of a profound spiritual mission, symbolizing the flourishing of the True Buddha Tantric teachings and the compassionate work of benefiting countless sentient beings.
Since its establishment, the temple has faithfully upheld the True Buddha School's principle of "actual practice and spiritual realization." It is dedicated to promoting both spiritual cultivation and compassionate service in daily life. In addition to regularly conducting Homa Fire Offerings, group cultivation, Dharma ceremonies, sutra chanting, and Vajrayana practices, the temple actively participates in charitable activities, community outreach, cultural exchange, and public service, embodying the Buddhist spirit of compassion and benefiting society.
