Abbot

Acharya Lian Zhe is the Abbot of True Buddha Diamond Temple of New York and a direct Dharma heir of Living Buddha Lian Sheng, the Root Lineage Guru of the True Buddha School. For many years, he has been devoted to propagating the True Buddha Tantric Dharma and guiding practitioners on the path of authentic Vajrayana cultivation. Following the teachings of the Root Guru, Acharya Lian Zhe emphasizes actual practice and spiritual realization, encouraging practitioners to cultivate morality, meditation, and wisdom while integrating the Buddhadharma into everyday life.

As the temple's spiritual leader, Acharya Lian Zhe regularly presides over Dharma ceremonies, Homa Fire Offerings, sutra chanting, group cultivation, and Vajrayana practices. Through Dharma teachings, blessings, and compassionate guidance, he helps devotees overcome obstacles, increase merit and longevity, purify negative karma, and strengthen their commitment to spiritual practice. He also encourages active participation in group cultivation to develop mindfulness, inner stability, wisdom, and lasting Dharma joy.

In addition to his Dharma work, Acharya Lian Zhe has played a vital role in the development of True Buddha Diamond Temple of New York, fostering a dignified and peaceful environment for Buddhist practice. He is also actively involved in community outreach, charitable activities, and Buddhist education, embodying the compassionate spirit of benefiting all sentient beings. Guided by compassion and wisdom, he continues to inspire practitioners to cultivate merit and wisdom together, deepen their spiritual practice, and progress toward the path of enlightenment.

Temple Administrator

Venerable Lian Yan was born in 1991 and took refuge under Living Buddha Lian Sheng, the Root Lineage Guru of the True Buddha School, on August 24, 2013. On February 1, 2020, he received monastic ordination and the Bodhisattva Precepts from Living Buddha Lian Sheng, who bestowed upon him the Dharma name “Lian Yan,” signifying “to observe with serenity and discernment.”
Following his ordination, Venerable Lian Yan served for two and a half years at the Root Temple, Seattle Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple, and at Rainbow Temple. Since January 2023, he has been serving at True Buddha Diamond Temple of New York, supporting the temple's Dharma activities and guiding devotees in their spiritual cultivation.

Venerable Lian Lei took refuge under Living Buddha Lian Sheng, the Root Lineage Guru of the True Buddha School, in 1994. Since the consecration of True Buddha Diamond Temple of New York in 1997, she has faithfully served the temple as a volunteer, supporting its Dharma activities and development.
After passing the Assistant Lecturer examination in 2009, she received monastic ordination and the Bodhisattva Precepts from Living Buddha Lian Sheng on September 15, 2012, and was bestowed the Dharma name "Lian Lei." Since her ordination, she has continued serving at True Buddha Diamond Temple of New York, dedicating herself to spiritual cultivation while benefiting sentient beings through the propagation of the Buddhadharma.

釋蓮舜法師

Venerable Lian Shun entered the monastic life at Sheng Yun Temple in Zhudong, Taiwan, on the first day of the Lunar New Year of 2021 (Year of the Ox). Later that year, he received the Full Ordination and was bestowed the Dharma name "Lian Shun" by Living Buddha Lian Sheng, the Root Lineage Guru of the True Buddha School.
He has since served at Seattle Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple, Taiwan Lei Tsang Temple, Guan Zhao Lei Tsang Temple, and studied at the Wei De Buddhist College. Guided by compassion and wisdom, Venerable Lian Shun is dedicated to serving the community and helping others through the propagation and practice of the Buddhadharma.
